These are online permaculture discussion communities where you can exchange information, ask questions, tap into the vast knowledge base of existing earthright wisdom or just have a natter. Each tends to have it’s own identity and ‘ground rules’ (eg, some will tend to discourage general banter and chat in favour of more focused information exchange such as course announcements, specific PC related questions, etc) so it’s probably worth spending a bit of time in the background getting the ‘feel’ of things before actively posting. At the present time alt.permaculture is the only dedicated permaculture newsgroup that we know of. Find it via your news server, or check out the archives and post through the Google Archives (type in alt.permaculture in the search box). Alt.pc also have their own website,
