Permaculture Introductory courses

An excellent way to find out more about permaculture is to attend a two-day introductory course. This ‘taster’ will provide an opportunity to actively learn about the principles and see examples of designs being implemented by groups and projects in this country and abroad.

The course provides the opportunity to discuss vitally important issues in a positive, creative and supportive space. The course is lively, participatory and thought provoking.

Full design courses and longer events

The full 72 hour Permaculture Design Course is a vital stage in the development of understanding of permaculture ethics, principles, design processes and implementation techniques. Completion of the Full Permaculture Design course provides recognition as a Permaculture Design graduate, and enables you to go on to study for the Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design.

Preparing to Teach Permaculture

For those interested in teaching permaculture, Graham can provide training events tailored to individual or group needs. Typically a Preparing to Teach Permaculture course will be run over 2 weekends, and will cover the basics of teaching within the framework of permaculture ethics and principles, lesson planning, creative learning and teaching styles and accelerated learning techniques, setting SMART outcomes, assessment strategies, how to keep learning vital and course convening. You will design a Permaculture Introductory Course that can be delivered within your own group or organisation, and will also have opportunities for observed ‘microteaching’ sessions where you can try out your ideas and develop your own teaching skills in safe and supported environment. This course is suitable for anybody who has completed the 72 hour full Permaculture Design Course. For more information email Graham at the address below.
