PERMACULTURE; DESIGNING SUSTAINABLE HUMAN HABITATS BY FOLLOWING NATURE'S PATTERNS
In addition to writing, illustrating and self publishing a number of books, Graham Burnett is an experienced permaculture practioner, designer and teacher. He is a member of the Council of Management of the Permaculture Association (Britain),  and holds the Diploma in Permaculture Design (Dip Perm Des). Graham is a member of the Permaculture Association's Designers Register, and has co-run Permaculture Introductory courses, full design courses and specialist courses on vegan-organic gardening and compost toilet building, as well as workshops for, amongst others, Organiclea, Naturewise, Green Adventure, Birmingham Decoy, Vegan Organic Network, Thrive (the therapeutic horticulture organisation), Transition Town Brixton ABUNDANCE,  South East Essex Organic Gardeners and Southend Council’s Agenda 21 forum.

PUBLICATIONS
Graham has written, illustrated and self-published a number of books and pamphlets through Spiralseed, a small business enterprise dedicated to  promoting permaculture and earthright living using illustration, literature and other media. Titles include;

He has written for many publications, including The Idler, Permaculture Magazine, New Leaves, The RavenResurgence,  The Land, Growing Green Internaional and The Vegan, and has contributed to books including 'The Permaculture Plot',  'Do It Yourself - A Handbook For Changing Our World', ' Growing Green', 'The Day The Country Died', 'Continuous Productive Urban Landscapes', 'Allotment Folk', 'How to be Free' and others.

He is currently writing a book for Permanent Publications as well as working on a book of 'Thinking Tools' for Spiralseed.

COURSES and TEACHING
Graham has been organising and teaching permaculture introductory and full design courses since 1998. Currently he works as part of the Naturewise team, running a variety of courses and events around North London, and with long term collaborator Ron Bates at Dial House in West Essex.

DESIGN and CONSULTATION
Graham is available for permaculture design and consultation work, and has experience in many aspects of sustainability and 'earthright' solutions, particularly in urban situations. He has over 20 years experience in working with adults with learning disabilities, including in  horticultural settings, and has designed a number of therapuetic and productive landscapes using permaculture and forest gardening principles. He has  tended allotments since 1984, and is a qualified organic gardener and an active member of his allotment association and the South East Organic Gardeners Group.

PERMACULTURE DIPLOMA SUPPORT
Graham completed his Diploma in Permaculture Design in September 2001 and is now a part of the team working on developing the Diploma into being a vital qualification for thriving in a post energy descent future...

He is also available to provide Tutorial and Design support for those working towards the Diploma.
